SUMMARY:Scottish Gathering & Games
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the 160th Annual Scottish Highland Gathering & Games in Pleasanton\, California at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on September 5th & 6th.  The sheep dog trials are a fun\, challenging part of the gathering and this is the first year RESDA will be running the competitions. \nThe trial will follow the traditional Scottish Games format over two days.  There are two courses\, a Drive and a Fetch course\, and each course runs twice a day for a total of 4 runs per dog per day.  This is a public event and careful handling of the livestock is very important.  Dogs should be competing at least at the Pro-Novice level or advanced AHBA or ASCA levels. \nThe judges will be Catlyn Gilman and Rusty Jeffers and the sheep will be from Tango Farms.  Two-Day High Combined Champion will win a belt buckle and the Dave Mason Perpetual trophy.  Reserve Champion will receive a silver belt buckle.  All other prize purses will be determined by number of entries. \nThere is a 20 dog maximum and we are over half way full.  Any additional entries will be put on a waiting list.  For the first time\, entries are being collected online or you can mail in your entry to Rusty Jeffers.
