Congratulations to 2023 High Point Champions, Steve Moody and Cady Beth!
The dog and handler team earning the most cumulative points across all designated Point trials each year is named our annual champions. A champion has been named each year since RESDA was founded in 1947.
This is Steve’s first win with Cady Beth, a border collie bred by Donna Beebe. Donna and Cady Beth’s mother, Meg, were our 2022 High Point Champions.
Steve Moody is one of our top handlers of all time. This year’s win brings his number of High Point Championships to 11—a tie with the legendary Les Bruhn, who also won 11 Championships.
Between them, Steve and Les have won 22 of the 76 championships awarded to date. Only two other handlers, Nancy Todd and Karen Kollgaard, have won as many as five.
